Travel info
Brussels Airport (Zaventem) is the nearest airport to the accommodation Heerlijckyt. Flight and train tickets are not included in the participation fee.

On arrival you take the train at Brussels Airport to Diest, 1 hour trip with 1 transfer in Leuven train station. The train station is located below the airport terminal (basement level-1). From Brussels Airport take the train to Leuven, switch train to Diest (train direction Tongeren) at Leuven train station --> Brussels Airport - Leuven - Diest (direction Tongeren).

You can buy a single ticket either at Brussels airport train station, online at www.nmbs.be or in the train (extra charge). A single ticket will cost about €9,50.

We will pick you up at Diest train station to bring you to the accommodation Heerlijckyt.

Arrival + departure dates
The Sustainable Summer School starts Friday 19/08 at 10AM.
You are welcome to arrive the day before for participants flying in on 18/08.
The Sustainable Summer School ends on 25/08 at 7.30PM with a party.
You can have a plane that night or the next morning.

What to bring
Please bring the following items:
+Comfortable, casual clothing & footwear (informal event)
+Cameras (& cords and/or card-readers)
+Sketchbooks, Notebooks, iPad, etc
+Limited amount of cash for incidental meals while on field research and drinks in the evening, €150/€200 will suffice.
+Inspiring books, articles or links to sustainable design precedents
+Laptops* (free wi-fi is available)
*Each group will be provided with one iMac with Adobe Suite, however, there are never enough computers for everyone so please bring along your own laptop if you have one.

Language
Language of choice for Sustainable Summer School will be English.

Fee
The participation fee is €400,-. The fee covers accommodation, course material, meals and drinks, transfers from Diest train station to the Heerlijckyt on arrival, all planned transfers in between and the transfer from the Heerlijckyt to Diest train station on departure. Hidden costs are money for drinks over the week not included in the meals and anything needed additionally, costs for additional public transport from your arrival and to your departure (airport/Diest train station).

Certificate
Participants will receive a certificate proving participation in a IWB charrette.
