Sas Adriaenssens was hired as a designer by Buzzispace to discover what would be the added value of the company that was producing partitioning systems. She designed a whole line of office furniture, using an innovative material, 'ecofelt'. SFT on the road was a success, you can find the presentations of the speakers here.
REcentre launched a design competition for a sustainable water carafe for drinKraantjeswater. hegge ID (BE) was the final winner with a carafe made out of hotel porcelain with the looks of a water tower.
The carafe will be in stores as from February 14. It consists out of a carafe (750 ml) and a cup which also closes the carafe (250 ml). It will be produced by Berghoff Worldwide in a series of 6.000 pieces. These first 6.000 pieces will be for sale at 10 euro/carafe. To keep up to date about the selling points or to pre-order your carafe you have to sign the charter or send an e-mail.
With the ‘Ecodesign’ exhibition REcentre wishes to demonstrate that sustainable products don't have to be boring or ugly. And actually, besides their ecological nature, the exhibited products are also very pleasant and examples of good design: going from a fabulous hybrid sportscar to stylish garden furniture. And even in the smallest room you can 'think' sustainable with the cradle to cradle toilet paper.
